Missionaries

Every local church is encouraged to support United Methodist Missionaries.   As there are over 200 missionaries serving world-wide, it can be difficult to choose just one. The New York Annual Conference currently supports 15 missionaries:  For a list of missionaries click here.

If your church is not already in relationship with a missionary, and you are searching to find one, take time to review the biographies of some of these missionaries.   Click here to read some of their stories on the NYAC website.  Pray.

sara flores - district missionaryIf you are still at a loss in choosing a missionary to enter into a relationship with, perhaps you may consider Sara Flores serving in Ecuador.  You may also see her name appear as Sara Quinones or Sara Cook.  Click here to meet Sara

The Catskill-Hudson District has a special relationship with Sara. In October 2013, we sponsored a District Volunteer in Mission Trip to Ecuador. Several members from our district were part of this team, including our District Superintendent Jim Moore and our District Administrative Assistant Holly Moore. We met and talked with Sara a number of times, and were able to witness first-hand some of the work she is doing with the women and children in Ecuador. She is doing amazing things!

Here are some of the cards and letters we have received from her:
